What is a Ski/Snowboard Week? Most NAASF ski/snowboard weeks have a very similar schedule. Once the e-brochures are published for each week you can verify the events, times and locations. The following is a good overview of what to expect during any given ski/snowboard week. You must be a paid-up member of the United Airlines Ski & Snowboard Club to be eligible for the NAASF discounts and to pre-register for the ski/snowboard weeks on our event registration page. Additionally, NAASF has a pre-registration button that is on their website and can be selected after choosing the week you plan to attend. If not already a member of NAASF, click on their login button to create an account and pre-register for the week you plan to attend. Lastly, if you haven't done so already, sign up for the UAL Airlines Ski & Snowboard Club WhatsApp Community and join the sub-group for the week you will be attending. It's the best way to communicate with others about lodging, transportation, costumes etc for that particular week. Typical Ski/Snowboard Week Sunday Arrive on your own schedule. Registration for the week is in now done online through the NAASF Website. Buy lift tickets (if needed), sign race waivers, and the meet at the designated 'watering hole'. Friday Every bugs out! International Ski/Snowboard Week Differences The IASF World Airlines Ski Championship is "slightly" different, in that their race training begins on Sunday and races begin on Monday. The WASC also includes several Nordic events (cross country skiing) and a "Fun Race" event where teams from around the world offer samples of a food/beverage typical of their country (It's really an International food/beverage tasting party on the snow). |
